Let’s talk →02 / About
Founded in Delft in 2023, IAMS advances arts education and cultivates creativity, innovation, and collaboration across art forms.
Why IAMS
The Institute for Arts and Movement Studies creates conditions in which people can explore their full creative potential through guided experimentation, education, and artistic practice.
IAMS brings artistic direction, production, learning, partnership, and communication around projects that cross disciplines and gather people. Rooted in Delft, the institute remains open to international practices, artists, and conversations.
Three commitments
Projects begin from practice and are given time to become precise.
People are not treated as an audience afterthought; encounter is part of the work.
Projects build relationships with places, communities, partners, and wider cultural questions.
How the institute works
Clarify the question, the form, and what the project contributes.
Support research, rehearsals, facilitation, and public presentation.
Connect projects with venues, communities, funders, and collaborators.
Help learning and relationships carry forward beyond one event.
